Except the Confederate flag actually /isn’t/ racist

Historically, the swastika is not racist either. However, in western culture it is probably permanently tarnished by its use by the Nazi party. If you do not wish to be seen as a racist, you probably should consider carefully when you choose to use the symbols they have made their own. If people are modern secessionists, perhaps a modern secessionist flag is in order. All states have their own flags. If you wish to show pride in being a Southerner, what’s wrong with your state flag? Why use a flag that recalls a long, bitter, bloody war and is used extensively by racist organizations to this day? I’m not saying don’t use it, but don’t be surprised when you are lumped in with the racists who also use it.
