What he’s basically saying is, “If you had to be absolutely honest, Obama’s done a pretty good job. Can’t really run against that. What you have to do is speculate on what Obama might do and run against that — a conservative can never go wrong with a straw man.” It’s like he thinks liberals don’t even know Fox News exists, so he can safely say what he really thinks there and it won’t ever leave the clubhouse.
